According to the Vienna Declaration, 1993, human rights are: universal, indivisible and interdependent and interrelated.
The UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights includes first-generation rights as well as those considered second-generation rights.
First-generation human rights encompass civil and political rights that are traditionally associated with individual freedoms and liberties.
